The latest buzz word in the Internet world is "podcast," and Wedding Podcast Network is proud to be on the forefront of this emerging technology.

Podcasting is like Tivo for your radio.  You have the freedom to choose the time and place you want to listen to the Wedding Podcast Network’s variety of programming.  Podcasts are uniquely user-friendly. When you subscribe to a podcast the audio file is automatically downloaded to a computer and you can play it while you multitask. Or you can transfer it to a portable device and listen during your commute or your workout, just like a radio show or an audio book.  It’s on demand.  It’s portable.

Despite the name, you don’t need an iPod to listen to podcasts. All you need is an MP3 player. Any MP3 player. In fact the computer you are using to read this is an MP3 player. There’s nothing stopping you from burning a podcast to a compact disc and playing it on the CD player in your car. It’s audio entertainment when and where you want it.

The technology behind podcasting (called RSS) allows you to have our shows delivered right to your computer via a free automated subscription. You can keep a copy of our shows; then pause them, rewind them or listen to your favorite episodes all over again.

Download a free podcatcher program that will enable you to subscribe to, download and play our shows.  Although applications vary, each should provide instructions on how to add podcast feeds to your list.   Wedding Podcast Network recommends:
www.iTunes.com
www.podcasts.yahoo.com
www.doppler.com
www.podnova.com
www.odeo.com

It’s as easy as transferring a song to your mp3 player.  The next time you sync your iPod to iTunes (or other podcatcher) our podcast will be transferred to your iPod for on-the-go listening.  New shows will automatically be downloaded to your computer.  If you have an mp3 player or a computer you are ready to start listening.
Press play and enjoy our shows!

Podcasting is a new technology. While many people have embraced it enthusiastically, some users may encounter problems. We’re more than happy to walk you through the steps if you have any difficulties. You can reach us at feedback@thewpn.com or 800.882.1259. We welcome your comments, questions and ideas.
